  1. Fighting for You to Keep the REPORTER in Court Reporting.
    We have strength in numbers. FCRA is the only organization committed to representing all reporters and reporting agencies in Florida. We need each other now more than ever. The larger our association, the greater credibility and clout we have with legislators. With only 700-800 members out of a possible 3500 to 5000 reporters, we cannot bear the burden alone. Simply by joining, you are going on record as supporting your profession!

    Joining FCRA gives you the opportunity twice yearly to maintain your national and state certifications with sessions and workshops focusing on you and your profession. Along with that, your membership in FCRA gives you the ability to connect and network with reporters and agencies across the state at a members' only rate.     FCRA has developed the Florida Professional Reporter course and certification for you!
     
    Knowledge is power and obtaining your FPR certification is certainly empowering. There's not a reporter, agency owner, manager, etc., who has walked out of the seminar without many "Aha" and OMG moments! There is so much expected and required from us at both the state and federal levels, whether we're freelance or official, have been reporting for a year or 25, and the FPR puts all that together, helping us meet and exceed those expectations.

    • FCRA ONLINE: This is FCRA's official online publication. In keeping with the FCRA membership's desire to stay as green and efficient as possible, FCRA Online is published quarterly and contains articles of interest to students, reporters, and agencies.

FCRA & Public Relations: FCRA promotes you and the profession by acting as liaison between the Florida Supreme Court; the Office of the State Court Administrator; the Judicial Council; the Florida Bar Association and other state associations and groups; court reporting schools; and informing and educating the public about the reporter's role in the judicial system.
