THE NEXT ONLINE OFFERING OF THE FLORIDA PROFESSIONAL REPORTER IS NOW AVAILABLE!

In order to assist FCRA members and Florida stenographic court reporting industry professionals, FCRA is excited to announce that the Florida Rules and Ethics seminar and FPR certification examination will be available to take online from May 1, 2021, through June 22, 2021.

OPTION 1:  Florida Professional Reporter Certification
(Available to FCRA members only)
Cost:  $139

The full online certification course has nine sessions, a survey, and examination for those stenographic reporters who wish to obtain their FPR designation and for those managers, students, and instructors of stenographic reporting who wish to obtain their corresponding designation.  The course will cover the Florida laws, rules, opinions, ethics, and best practices that every Florida reporter should know.  The course has been updated to include best practices for reporting remote proceedings.

Stenographic reporting candidates who wish to take the examination and use the FPR credential must be participating members of FCRA.  As an FPR, you will be required to complete and report 3.0 CEUs (30 hours) per three-year cycle to maintain your designation.  All other categories - FPM, FPI, FPS, and FPR(S) - must be members at their corresponding membership level and meet the same CEU requirements as described for FPR™ holders. FCRA is offering COVID-19 relief options throughout 2021.  Click here for more information and join or renew today.

Participants will have immediate access to the online seminar, and it can be taken at your leisure through the end of the day on June 22, 2021.  The seminar portion does not need to be completed in one sitting.  After completion of the seminar portion, a certificate will be awarded that can be submitted to NCRA if you wish to apply for the 0.5 CEUs.*

Upon completion of the seminar portion, the certification examination will become available.  Testers will have only one opportunity to successfully pass the exam under your registration.  Please note that this offering of the seminar and exam will expire on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, and must be completed on or before that date.
